“On Wednesday, Mayo confirmed he will open a Subculture Coffee Roasters at Boca Raton’s Mizner Park, the downtown dining and entertainment center that already is home to two other Mayo concepts, Kapow! Noodle Bar and The Dubliner Irish Pub.

Subculture will take space next to the Dubliner and be open by December or January.

Mayo also said he’s wrapped up a deal to bring Lost Weekend to Mizner Park, as the Palm Beach Post previously reported. The popular laid-back bar features pool tables, games, beer and art at 526 Clematis Street in West Palm Beach and in Miami Beach. At Mizner Park, Lost Weekend will be in the former Cheese Course space and a vacant spot next to it, near the iPic Theater.

In addition to Boca Raton, Mayo is expanding in West Palm Beach, too, where his Sub-Culture Restaurant and Nightclub Group is based. Mayo just completed a lease-purchase deal on a building at 522 Clematis Street. The space formerly was purchased for use by the Naked Stage Theatre Co., but the theater never opened there.”
