“I could not help concluding this man had the most supreme pleasure while he was driven so fast and so smoothly by the sea.” – Captain James Cook

Longboards opened in 2011 in a circa 1920’s warehouse space in the 500 block of Clematis street. The décor is reminiscent of a longboard-shaping warehouse one might walk into along the beach in Maui. Adorned with vintage longboards from some of the famous names in surfboard shaping history.

The menu specializes in organic and local produce,. Longboards offers a daily selection of locally sourced Florida fish as well as a raw bar with a selection of oysters from the north, east and west coasts. Live main lobsters and Crabs are a specialty and are flown in daily.

“What can be more foolish than to think that all this rare fabric of heaven and earth could come by chance, when all the skill of art is not able to make an oyster!” – Anatole France
